After appearances in jazz festivals all over North America and including the Kennedy Center in Washington,D.C. this is a band full of surprises and with a strong vocal component copied from such as the Mills Brothers & Boswell Sisters. And the jazz lives on! The many, many years of performing in this delightful jazz club in Victoria that has become known world-wide and attracts an amazing calibre of talented touring musicians continues unabated. But through this, the local CanUS Jazz Band still going strong after 26 years continues to delight fans with their traditional jazz and swing repertoire. Vocals are a major part of their performances which stems originally from a love of the Boswell Sisters of New Orleans and arrangements that they still perform. The three part harmonies as well as individual vocals bring an extra dimension to their traditional jazz.
